2. Hosting and technical access data

Our website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you access a page, the IP address required for the connection and technical information are processed. This includes the requested file, access time, browser and operating system, device type and, where applicable, the previously visited page.

This serves to deliver the website, keep it running reliably and protect it against technical disruptions or attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to provide this website securely. IONOS receives the hosting data and is involved in processing as the hosting provider.

According to the product information provided by IONOS, visitor data are anonymised upon collection and stored for eight weeks. IONOS states that no data are transferred to countries outside the EU for this web hosting processing.

3. IONOS visitor statistics

IONOS web hosting includes the WebAnalytics visitor statistics service, which the provider states is active by default. It analyses page views for statistical purposes and to improve the website technically, using the access data described in section 2.

According to IONOS, data are collected through log files or a tracking pixel, without cookies. The IP address is anonymised immediately after transmission; subsequent analysis does not relate to identifiable individuals. IONOS states that it does not disclose the data to third parties.

To the extent that personal data are processed before anonymisation, this is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our interest is to understand how the website is used and how it functions technically, and to improve it. IONOS specifies the retention period stated in section 2 for the underlying web hosting visitor data; according to the provider, anonymised analyses do not allow individual visitors to be identified.

4. Cookies and embedded content

The pages we provide do not set their own cookies or store information in persistent browser storage. Images, styling and functionality are loaded from our own webspace; fonts come from your device. These pages do not embed Google Analytics, advertising pixels, external font services or maps.

The apartment galleries and information windows work within your browser. Our page code does not transmit your image selections to an analytics service.

5. Contacting us and enquiries about stays

If you call or email us, we process the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, preferred dates, number of guests and the content of your enquiry. The website itself does not contain a form for sending us this information.

For enquiries about a booking or an existing stay, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We handle other enquiries on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to respond to your message. Where statutory retention requirements apply, further storage is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Our email mailbox is provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. As our email service provider, IONOS processes the message content and attachments, sender and recipient addresses, and technical connection data necessary to receive, store and send emails. This processing serves to handle your message on the legal bases stated above.

Access is granted to the people responsible for handling your enquiry and to necessary communications and IT service providers. Data are deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with and there are no remaining statutory retention obligations or requirements to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

It is your choice whether to contact us. Without the information needed to handle your enquiry, we may be unable to respond. The connection data required simply to access the website are technically necessary.

7. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability under Articles 15 to 20 GDPR. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it with effect for the future; this does not affect prior processing.

Right to object under Article 21 GDPR

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will stop this processing unless we can demonstrate overriding compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves legal claims. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.

To exercise your rights, simply send a message using the contact details in section 1. You may also contact our external data protection officer using the details in section 1a. This website does not carry out decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Under Article 77 GDPR, you may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the place where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred.
